Fluent Reader Lite is an uncomplicated, multi-platform, and open-source RSS client. This application supports several self-hosted and commercial RSS services, including Fever API (such as TT-RSS Fever plugin, FreshRSS, Miniflux), Google Reader API (like Bazqux Reader, The Old Reader), Inoreader, and Feedbin (either official or self-hosted).
- Dark mode available for UI and reading.
- Ability to configure sources to load full content or webpage by default.
- A dedicated subscriptions tab is provided, organized by latest updates with article titles.
- Search function for local articles or filter by read status.
- Option to organize subscriptions with groups.
- Support for two-pane view and multitasking on iPad.
The following features are NOT available in the Lite version:
- Local RSS support and source/group management.
- No support for importing or exporting OPML files, full application data backup & restoration.
- Lack of regular expression rules for marking articles as they arrive.
- No background article fetching or push notifications functionality present.
- Keyboard shortcuts are not supported in this version.
